How It Works
Extinguish® Professional Fire Ant Bait combines (S)-Methoprene, an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR), with attractive bait that foraging fire ant workers take back to the queen. (S)-Methoprene adversely affects the queen's ability to reproduce, so when existing workers die (normally within a three-week period), no new workers are created to replace them. The result? Starvation and elimination of the entire colony.
